This web page is designed to help speakers plan for their participation at the ContentTECH Summit 2022 in San Diego, CA on March 22-24, 2022.

Congratulations on being selected to speak at the ContentTECH Summit! We are excited to be providing a resource for marketers to learn how new technologies and innovative processes are fundamentally changing what our work will look like in the next two to five years. You are part of this special group!

We know you are an expert, but we’ve included a few speaker guidelines to keep in mind as you prepare for the event. We’ve learned about our audience preferences through surveys and conference evaluations. These suggestions should help you provide a strong presentation. Here are a few tips:

  1. We’ve pivoted and re-pivoted and re-re-pivoted in some cases. Let’s retire the word PIVOT from presentations now that the pandemic is part of our daily lives. Let’s be forward thinking and not focus on all things COVID-related.
  2. Research statistics – please don’t cite anything that is more than one year or so old. Trends change quickly and anything more than a year or two old will look like a velour track suit!
  3. Please join us on our diversity and inclusion efforts by ensuring that your presentation photos and graphics reflect our diverse community.
  4. Your slides – for all presenters, please use more pictures and fewer words on your slides. Tell stories around the pictures. If you have more than 30 words on your slide, attendees will try to read that and tune you out. Be the focus of the presentation and use slides to support your major points.
  5. Please tell us your pronouns so that we can ensure that your moderator introduces you properly.

As you work through your presentations, please keep these five points in mind. In reviewing thousands of evaluations over the years, we know these five aspects are critical for creating a valuable event experience.

As a speaker of ContentTECH 2022, you will receive a complimentary registration to the main conference along with access to the On Demand video package. While your registration is complimentary, we still need you to complete the registration process. Registration instructions will be emailed out to you directly. There will be a custom link along with directions on how to get registered.

  • Complete registration (emailed out in early February)
  • Check your speaker listing and session schedule
  • Promote your presence as a speaker at ContentTECH Summit
  • Download the ContentTECH Speaker Badge to add to your email signature and website

We will provide you with standard audio-visual equipment as listed below. If you have any additional requests or if you plan to use your own laptop (PC or MAC), please note that during your registration for the event.

  • A PC laptop preloaded with your presentation (we ask Workshop speakers to use their own computer or if you need an event laptop, please note that in your registration)
